THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 11, 2008) - Red Metal Resources Ltd. (OTCBB:RLKX) is pleased to announce that it has increased its land holdings in the area of its Camila property near the town of Vallenar, III Region, Chile. Results from the Camila drill program and the recent acquisition by Minera Teck Cominco Chile Ltda. (a subsidiary of Teck Cominco Ltd.) of ground adjacent to and partially surrounding the Camila property led management to increase the company's land holdings in the area. The acquisition includes two mensura mining concessions and an application for three exploration licenses. The new property will be named Matteo.

Minera Teck Cominco Chile Ltda. has recently increased its interest in the region, acquiring approximately 2,400 hectares of exploration licenses to the south and west of the Camila property in 2006 and 2007, and the Relincho property approximately 40 km to the northeast of Camila in April 2008. Drilling on the Camila property confirmed management's belief that a large copper-gold system exists in the area. Anomalous results include 0.1% copper over 2 metres in drillhole CAM-08-003, and 0.1% copper over 4 metres and 0.06% copper over 19 metres in drillhole CAM-08-004. Structural interpretation of local and regional geology suggests that a major east-northeast-trending fault system controls mineralization in both the Camila and the Relinchio areas. The Matteo property is along the strike of this system.

Red Metal, through its Chilean subsidiary, has signed a letter of intent with Minera Farellon Ltda, a Chilean mining company, to acquire 100% of two mensura mining concessions covering 76 hectares for a one-time payment of $20,000USD. Red Metal's Chilean subsidiary has also applied for three exploration licenses covering 800 hectares surrounding the mensura mining concessions.
